The global stock market anxiety is affecting the cryptocurrency bitcoin, which has plummeted by nearly 13 percent.
On Monday afternoon, bitcoin was down to a value of just over 51,400 dollars.
The fall means that the cryptocurrency is at its lowest level since February.
Even the second-largest cryptocurrency after bitcoin, Ether, is plummeting and has lost around 17 percent on Monday.
