The two teenage boys who suffered serious injuries after a lightning strike on Lidingö last week are doing better. They have now been able to leave the intensive care unit, according to Karolinska Hospital for P4 Stockholm.
The youths were practicing soccer when they were caught off guard by a downpour and took shelter from the rain under some trees. Eight of them were injured when the lightning struck and had to be taken to the hospital.
Three of the boys were initially assessed to have very serious injuries. One of them was able to leave the hospital the next day, while the other two were treated for serious injuries.
