Sweden finished in second place in the major competition in Rotterdam on Friday. This means that the Swedish super team has qualified for the final in the League of Nations.

The final competition of the League of Nations team event was decided on Friday, and Sweden fielded a super team.

Malin Baryard-Johnsson, Henrik von Eckermann, Rolf-Göran Bengtsson, and Peder Fredricson travelled to Rotterdam to try to secure a final spot in the competition – and to "get a feel" for the Olympics. The competition in Rotterdam on Friday is, after all, the last major competition before the summer events in Paris.

The Swedish super team delivered, and finished in second place. The result also means that Sweden has qualified for the final, which takes place in early October in Barcelona.

After the first round, Sweden led, and was faultless in the jumping. The only one to make a mistake was Baryard-Johnsson, but since only three out of four results count in the first part of the competition, her attempt was discarded.

In the second part of the competition, when everything was to be decided, Sweden was, however, beaten by France. After another mistake by Baryard-Johnsson, faultless France was able to overtake and win the competition.

Great Britain finished third.
