Djurgården continues to strengthen the squad ahead of the upcoming European Championship qualifying.

On Wednesday, the team presented the two full-backs Viktor Bergh and Adam Ståhl – at the same time as another is expected to leave for a big club.

Djurgården has presented its first summer signings – on the same day.

Early on Wednesday, it was officially announced that Viktor Bergh is joining from IFK Värnamo. The 25-year-old has had a fine season and is now rewarded with a move up the table. The left-back has signed a contract that runs until the end of the 2027 season.

Sometimes things move fast in this industry and then it's just a matter of making a decision. When the question came, I didn't need to think about it much, it was an easy choice, says Bergh to the club's website.

Just over an hour later, Mjällby's successful right-back Adam Ståhl was also presented as a new Djurgården player. The right-back has signed a similarly long contract as Bergh and will join directly.

If you were to sum it up with one word, it would be: Big! Djurgården is a team I've followed for many years and also met during many seasons, says Ståhl.

And the signings weren't made in vain.

Shortly afterwards, Aftonbladet reported that Djurgården's current successful right-back, Samuel Dahl, is set to join the big club Roma in Serie A. The deal is said to be done, and according to sources, Dahl may sign as early as this week. The transfer is said to be worth up to 70 million kronor.
