The artist Blue Falkholt's renowned mural in Borås, featuring, among other things, an enormous version of the male genital organ, is on its way to disappearing.
Borås Tidning reports that the façade on which the artwork is erected will be obscured by a parking garage currently under construction.
Such things happen. My paintings are angel children, and angels appear and then disappear when they've done their job. It's still been allowed to sit there since 2014, says the artist to the newspaper.
The artwork was painted in connection with the No Limit festival in Borås in 2014. Falkholt initially didn't want to contribute a piece, as the façade intended for the mural was adorned with election posters from the Sweden Democrats.
But in the end, the giant phallus was added as an extra component to the work, and was painted so that it pointed towards the advertisement board.
