After a shaky start, David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig have gone from strength to strength and are now playing in the OS final in beach volleyball. Waiting for them is a favorite opponent for the Swedish world champions – Germany's Nils Ehlers and Clemens Wickler. Åhman/Hellvig have ten straight wins against the German pair.
The final starts at 22.30 tonight at Stade tour Eiffel.

+ After the Russian defeat – the handball ladies are going for OS bronze
The handball ladies fell heavily against giant France in the semifinal. Sweden was in the OS final with 14 seconds left of the match – then the host nation equalized in front of 27,000 fanatical home fans in Lille. In the extension, the reigning OS and World Championship winners were too strong.
After finishing fourth in the Tokyo OS three years ago, the handball ladies will now try to win their first OS medal. In the bronze match, they face Denmark, which is not a favorite opponent in recent years. The Danes turned the match around in the end against Sweden in the group stage (25–23) in Paris and also won the bronze match in the World Championship last year. The match starts at 10.00.
+ Hassan runs the marathon
When Suldan Hassan ran his first marathon in life in February in Seville, he crushed the Swedish record by over a minute – the time was 2.07.36. Now Hassan is the first Swedish male runner in an Olympic marathon since Anders Szalkai in Atlanta 1996. The start is already at 08.00.
+ Marta chases the perfect ending
Football star Marta is ending her national team career this year and can now get the perfect ending. The Brazilian – who has played in Umeå, Tyresö, and Rosengård – has two final losses in the OS against the USA (2004 and 2008), but gets a chance for revenge. The final opponent USA has, on the other hand, won OS gold four times before.
+ "Dream Team" can take their fifth straight OS gold
The American basketball men were in trouble against Serbia in the OS semifinal, but in the end, the "Dream Team" could turn it around to victory. Now they will try to secure the USA's fifth straight OS gold.
It's set up for a public party in Saturday evening's final in Bercy Arena in Paris – in the final, they face the host nation France.
