Sweden's handball men play their second match in the tournament. And it will be another tough opponent on the other side. After the premiere against Germany, Spain awaits.
An opponent that national team coach Glenn Solberg's men have faced many times. In the bronze match at the 2023 World Championship, it was a Spanish win (39–36), and the year before, Sweden won the European Championship gold after a final win against Spain (27–26).
Set for another hot match on Monday, in other words. Sweden will, however, have to do without middle six Max Darj, who is stopped by a muscle injury in his thigh.

France is the reigning Olympic champion and, of course, eager to celebrate on home soil.

The USA women's basketball team has won the last seven games. On Monday, the hunt for the eighth consecutive gold begins when the team takes on Japan in Lille.
Star shooter Caitlin Clark did not get a spot on the team, but there are plenty of other well-known players. One name that stands out a bit extra is Brittney Griner, who previously sat imprisoned in Russia for ten months for drug offenses. She was later released after a highly publicized prisoner exchange, where she became a pawn in a geopolitical power game between the USA and Russia.
In May 2023, she made her comeback on the basketball court, and now she's part of the American Olympic team. The Olympic matches in France will be her first abroad since she returned to the USA from Russia. Griner has two Olympic gold medals already and is looking forward to what's to come.
