On the men's side, the beach volleyball duo David Åhman and Jonatan Hellvig and the handball national team start their group play – and several international stars make their entrance when the Olympics start "for real" in Paris.

18-year-old Tara Babulfath can take Sweden's first Olympic medal in Paris, in the 48-kilo judo class. In the spring, she took World Championship bronze and has previously won several international championship medals at the U18 level. Olympic debutant and the youngest of all judokas in Paris.
