Security is being strengthened at Colombia's highest court in the capital Bogotá due to suspected plans for a terrorist attack.
It was during house searches on Tuesday that the police found ammunition and explosives as well as a model of the court building. This is stated by the chief judge Gerson Chaverra, who does not mention anything about a suspected motive behind the potential attack plans.
The court building was partially destroyed in 1985 after being stormed by members of the M-19 guerrilla movement. To regain control of the building, the military bombarded it for several hours. Over 100 people were killed in the unrest, including eleven judges.
