A lottery wagon overturned a man who later died of his injuries.

The police are now investigating whether the fatal accident was due to external circumstances or lack of safety.

The forensic investigation will show that, says Mette Hansson, on-duty preliminary investigation leader.

Several witnesses have been heard and the police are now waiting for the results of the forensic investigation.

It will probably come in a few days. Then we will get a better picture of what happened. It may have been a safety routine that failed or an accident with external circumstances that could not be influenced, says Hansson.

It was on Friday that a lottery wagon overturned visitors at Kivik's market.

Shortly after, several witnesses reported that it had blown strongly in connection with the fatal accident.

Four people were injured. One injured person was taken to hospital and two people were referred to the health center. A 55-year-old man was so seriously injured that he died.

Anders Strand, a consultant responsible for the stalls, says that a heavy cloud has hung over the market, which ends on Monday.

It has pressed down the market terribly. We had a minute's silence yesterday. We tried to get a priest for a small service, but it didn't work out.

Even though the market is organized separately from the amusement park, some stalls chose to cancel - and there have been significantly fewer visitors compared to earlier this year.

We will make an evaluation later today to find out what we could have done better, but we think it was right to continue the market. If we had closed down, we would not have gotten the person back to life anyway.

The police are investigating the incident under the headings of gross negligence leading to another's death and bodily harm. The case has been referred to the prosecutor.
