Israel has shot down a drone fired from Yemen, according to the Israeli military (IDF).
An air raid siren in central parts of Israel was activated just before midnight on Thursday due to the attack, according to IDF.
No group has yet claimed responsibility for the attack. The leader of the Houthi movement, Abdul Malik al-Huthi, said in a speech on Thursday that the Iran-backed Yemeni group "will not hesitate to support Lebanon and Hezbollah."
The Houthi movement has repeatedly sent drones and rockets towards Israel since the Gaza war began, but almost all have been stopped over the Red Sea.
In July, one person was killed and several were injured when a projectile fired by the Houthi movement reached Tel Aviv. Israel responded with extensive airstrikes against Houthi targets in the port city of Hodeidah in Yemen, resulting in several deaths and nearly 90 injuries.
