Masters again, for the fifth time in the past nine issues of the Champions League.

The world's most powerful club celebrated its 15th title at Wembley.

2-0 in the final against Borussia Dortmund was at the same time a perfect ending for the profile Toni Kroos.

The German thanks himself in Real Madrid – and he couldn't have done it in a more fun and stylish way.

But it was far from over. Dortmund surprised by being closer to a leading goal.

It wasn't until with a quarter of an hour to go that the decisive moment came – with Kroos as the conductor behind Dani Carvajal's 1-0.

The final was immediately interrupted for a few minutes after three people entered the field. It wasn't until the players started chasing that the security guards managed to catch the intruders.

Real Madrid's defenders had to work hard to keep Karim Adeyemi and Niclas Füllkrug at bay when the Germans came with rapid counter-attacks with many players.

Adeyemi rounded Thibaut Courtois but came out of position and had to settle for a corner. The EM-rated Belgian goalkeeper Courtois saved the season's first appearance in the Champions League final.

Meanwhile, midfielder Toni Kroos played his last match for Real. After the EM playoffs, he will also retire.

The next chance to break the zero came for Füllkrug, but his shot hit the crossbar and Spain had to clear the rebound.

After the dazzling start, Real had more to say about in the first half without creating a really hot chance. The one came directly after the break. Kroos' free kick was deflected by Gregor Kobel up near the cross.

Dortmund finished fifth in the Bundesliga, but has consistently grown in strength throughout the season. Coach Edin Terzic started the same starting eleven that knocked out Paris SG in the semifinals.

Füllkrug tested Courtois with a dangerous header, but Dortmund didn't get any closer than that.

When Dani Carvajal met Kroos' corner with his forehead and scored his second goal in 89 CL matches, the decisive moment fell at Wembley. Jude Bellingham could have secured the win shortly afterwards, but the Englishman's shot just missed.

The goal gave Carlo Ancelotti's "Marängers" energy. Dortmund slumped. Vinicius Junior, led by Bellingham, closed the final with the 2-0 goal in the 83rd minute.

Dortmund's only Champions League win to date came in 1997.

Real has won all nine finals the club has played in the tournament since it began in its current format in 1992.
