Powerful explosions shook Beirut's southern suburb of al-Dahiyah on Thursday afternoon, where Hezbollah has a particularly strong foothold.

"Enemy aircraft carried out three attacks on southern suburbs", wrote the state-controlled Lebanese news agency, and the Israeli military IDF later confirmed the attack.

On Telegram, IDF writes that the attack was directed at Hezbollah's headquarters for its security service: "It is responsible for gathering information about IDF and the state of Israel".

There are no reports on how many died in the attack. Lebanon's Health Department confirmed that nine people were killed in an attack on an apartment in central Beirut on Wednesday night.

A civil defense organization affiliated with Hezbollah said that those who worked there were caregivers and rescue workers.

Red Cross Attacked

The Red Cross in Lebanon announced simultaneously that four of its volunteer paramedics were injured in an Israeli attack while trying to evacuate the wounded from the southern part of the country.

A soldier from the Lebanese army was killed in the attack. The column's movement was coordinated with the UN's peacekeeping forces in the area.

Lebanon's Health Minister Firass Abiad says that over 40 rescue workers and firefighters have been killed in the recent days' attacks. In total, 97 rescue workers have been killed in Israeli attacks over the past year.

Urges to Leave

Israel continues to urge residents in southern Lebanon to leave their homes and move away from the area.

"IDF has no intention of harming you, and for your own safety, you should immediately leave your homes and move north of the Awali River", wrote the army's spokesperson Avichay Adraee.

During the night to Thursday, Israel also bombed a building in the community of Bint Jbeil, located near the border. According to the Israeli military's account, the building was a Hezbollah headquarters where large quantities of weapons were also found. 15 people were killed, according to the Israeli military.

The Lebanese military reports that Israel shelled one of its outposts in Bint Jbeil, and a soldier was killed. The military then returned fire, which was the first time in nearly a year that the Lebanese military had responded to Israeli fire.

Corrected: An earlier version contained incorrect information about the paramedics.
