The two goal-happiest teams in the European Championship are facing off in a sizzling European Championship quarterfinal.

Then Germany hopes to be able to trump Spain's offense.

We want to attack and make life difficult for them, says the German national team captain Julian Nagelsmann.

Germany: Ten goals. Spain: Nine goals.

The two football giants have impressed in the European Championship. No countries have scored more goals and Spain is the only nation that has won all their matches.

Particularly in focus are two offensive super talents: Spain's Lamine Yamal, 16, and Germany's Jamal Musiala, 21.

Two young key players in the countries' sharp attacking play.

I have more focus on Jamal (Musiala) than (Lamine) Yamal, says Nagelsmann.

He continues:

We can do something in the offense ourselves. We want to attack and make life difficult for them.

Nagelsmann describes Lamine Yamal as a "very talented player who is fun to watch."

It's hard to defend against him. You have to be prepared for many different things, he says.

Jamal Musiala has thundered in three goals so far in the European Championship and is in shared top scorer position. Lamine Yamal has not yet scored a goal, but he has been behind much of the Spanish offense.

Germany's captain Ilkay Gündogan is a club teammate with Yamal in Barcelona. He pours praise on the youngster.

What he did this season is unmatched. When I look at myself when I was 16 years old, it shows that the new generation takes a very big responsibility, says 33-year-old Gündogan.

The European Championship quarterfinal between Germany and Spain is played on Friday at 18.00 in Stuttgart – Jamal Musiala's birthplace.

Friday 18.00: Spain-Germany (Stuttgart).

Friday 21.00: Portugal-France (Hamburg).

Saturday 18.00: England-Switzerland (Düsseldorf).

Saturday 21.00: Netherlands-Turkey (Berlin).
