Matsuyama lost his wallet – but fortunately, neither his Olympic Games bronze medal nor his passport was stolen.
Caddie Shota Hayato and coach Mikihito Kuromiya were not so lucky. Both lost their passports and visas and were forced to return to Japan to arrange new travel documents.
