The Prime Minister has at a press conference apologized for not having succeeded in bringing home the now deceased hostages from captivity, but it is not enough for the demonstrators around the country.

With demands for an agreement on a ceasefire that brings home all hostages – according to AFP's figures, 64 kidnapped are believed to still be alive in terrorist-stamped Hamas captivity – thousands have again taken to the streets. The bodies of another 37 hostages who are believed to be dead are also still in Gaza.

In Jerusalem, several people have been arrested after the protests reached Benjamin Netanyahu's residential quarter, writes Times of Israel. Thousands are reported to have attended when the crowd was at its largest. The Prime Minister's neighbor appears to have joined the demonstrations, among other things by putting up a banner that reads "It's you who decide, it's you who are guilty".

Thousands gathered on Monday in Jerusalem also for the funeral of Hersh Goldberg-Polin, one of the six hostages found dead over the weekend.

In Tel Aviv, the demonstrators have gathered at Netanyahu's party Likud's headquarters, where they have lit bonfires on the streets and are chanting slogans against the politicians, reports Haaretz.
