A number of pitch invaders came into focus during the European Championship match between Portugal and Turkey. Not least the young supporter who managed to get in and succeeded in taking a selfie with Cristiano Ronaldo on the pitch.
In total, five spectators got onto the pitch, all with Ronaldo in their sights.
It's a concern, says Portugal's national team captain Roberto Martínez.
Today we were lucky that the supporters' intentions were good. But if they have bad intentions, the players are exposed. I don't think it should happen on a football pitch.
Portugal won the match against Turkey 3–0 and thereby secured first place in the group.
