A merchant ship was attacked off Yemen on Monday, but managed to reach the next port without any reported damage. The attack took place 13 miles southwest of the port city of Hodeidah, which is controlled by Yemen's Iran-backed Houthi rebels, according to the British trade organization UKMTO.

Three vessels, including one unmanned, fired three missiles and attempted to ram the ship. UKMTO has not identified the ship or the perpetrators, but the British maritime security firm Ambrey, which also reported the attack, says it matches previous incidents claimed by the Houthi rebels.

The Houthi rebels have attacked ships in the Red Sea and the Gulf of Aden since November as part of a campaign they say is in solidarity with the Palestinians during the Gaza War.

Since January, the US and the UK have responded with several attacks on Houthi targets in Yemen. On Sunday, the US reported that several Houthi drones had been destroyed.
