During today's detention hearing at the Copenhagen court, it emerged that the 21-year-old has participated in murder plans and at least acted as an intermediary.

He is suspected of having persuaded Swedish men and teenagers to travel to Denmark to commit serious crimes.

He was detained for four weeks for all eight suspected crimes. He denies all crimes, says lawyer Stefan Møller Jørgensen, who represented the Swede to TT.

According to the Copenhagen police, the now-detained 21-year-old Swede is part of an unnamed gang that is in conflict with two Danish gangs, writes the Danish newspaper B.T.

Organized weapons

He is alleged to have persuaded two Swedish teenagers to travel to Denmark to murder people connected to a Danish motorcycle gang. He is also suspected of having organized weapons for the teenagers, who were 15 and 16 years old at the time, reports the news agency Ritzau.

In another case, a Swedish man was brought to Denmark to "kill one or more people connected to a motorcycle gang".

All individuals who were to carry out the planned murders were arrested before the crimes could be committed. They are now detained suspects for attempted murder.

Phone confiscated

The 21-year-old man was arrested earlier in August by Swedish police on behalf of the Danish police. He was detained the same day at Växjö district court pending extradition to Denmark, where it was also decided that the man's phone would be handed over.

The decision states that it can reasonably be assumed that the confiscated property is of significance for an ongoing criminal investigation in Denmark.

The 21-year-old has denied the crimes and unsuccessfully appealed the detention and extradition to Denmark. He has also opposed the handing over of his phone.

Corrected: In an earlier version, the wrong court was stated for the detention. The man was detained at the Copenhagen court.
