Swedish whiskey manufacturer Mackmyra, which went bankrupt in August, is being rescued through the bankruptcy estate getting a new old owner, according to the new owners in a press release.
Former main owner Lennart Hero is buying the bankruptcy estate together with investment company No 1 Capital AB.
Hero is open about what it costs.
Just over 100 million kronor. I have no idea if we had the highest bid. But I think the bankruptcy administrator thought we had the best concept for Mackmyra's future, he says to SVT.
In August, Mackmyra filed for bankruptcy with the Gävle District Court after several restructurings, including staff reductions.
