The American actor John Ashton is dead, confirms his manager Alan Somers for Variety.
He is primarily known for his role as John Taggart in the first two films "Beverly Hills Cop" where he played against Eddie Murphy and Judge Reinhold.
He also participated in the fourth film, which was released this year.
John Ashton became 76 years old.
