The Swedish football giant, Matteo Perez Vinlöf, extends his contract with Bayern München. At the same time, it is clear that the 18-year-old is changing clubs – he is being loaned out to Austria Wien for the coming season.

"For me, the move to Austria is a good step in my career to gain experience in a strong club and a fantastic city," says Perez Vinlöf in a statement, and continues:

"My debut in Bayern and my first national team call-up felt surreal – like a dream – but now I'm looking forward to proving myself during my first season in a top division."

Perez Vinlöf was selected for the first time to Sweden's U21 national team in May. However, he did not play in the U21 national team, as national team captain Jon Dahl Tomasson chose to promote him to the A national team.

The new agreement with Bayern München extends until 2027.
