Gröna Lund and two other companies are suspected following the fatal accident at Gröna Lund last summer.

The police investigation into the accident at Gröna Lund in Stockholm will take some time to complete. One person died and several were injured when the Jetline ride malfunctioned.

"Our investigation is far from over. Now that we have also gained access to the accident investigation commission's full report, a new phase will begin, and this may lead to us altering the suspicions already announced or directing new suspicions", says Christer B. Jarlås, senior prosecutor at the National Unit for Environmental and Working Life Crimes, in a press release.

So far, three companies are suspected – Gröna Lund as the responsible amusement park owner, as well as two companies involved in the manufacture of the faulty front arm on one of the rollercoaster cars.

The suspicions relate to gross negligence leading to another's death, gross negligence leading to bodily harm, and causing danger to another.

Gröna Lund is suspected, among other things, of having failed in its control of the company to which it placed the order for amusement park parts.

"The investigation also reveals a lack of control when receiving and inspecting the ordered arms when they were mounted on the Jetline train", says Jarlås.
