The Slovenian cycling star Tadej Pogacar took home the Tour de France on Sunday.

Now the message comes that he chooses to abstain from competing in the OS in Paris.

"Unfortunately, Tadej Pogacar will not be part of the team, as he is too tired. He is replaced by national team colleague Domen Novak," writes the Slovenian Olympic team on Instagram.

The OS in Paris opens on Friday, July 26.
