"We believe we can prove that the two boys came to Copenhagen to murder and therefore risk long prison sentences, despite their young age," says special prosecutor Andreas Emil Christensen in a press release.

The case involves a 15-year-old boy who traveled to Denmark on April 12. According to the indictment, he received two weapons with ammunition in an apartment where he was staying in Copenhagen.

He is charged with attempting to shoot and kill several people in a Danish gang in Brøndby, just outside Copenhagen. A 59-year-old Danish man is also charged with involvement in the attempted murder.

In the second case, a 16-year-old boy is charged, who according to the police was stopped from receiving a weapon when he arrived in Copenhagen on April 25. It is unclear, according to the police, who or what was the planned target of the shooting.

In a third case, a 19-year-old Swede has been suspected since earlier of detonating a hand grenade in Copenhagen at the end of June. No one was injured, but the building suffered extensive damage.

He is expected to confess to the crime. Therefore, no charges will be brought in the same way, according to the Danish police.
