Inflation in Norway – that is, consumer price increases at an annual rate – was 2.6 percent in June, according to the country's statistics agency. This can be compared to an inflation rate of 3 percent in May.
The decline was unexpected. Analysts had on average expected an unchanged inflation figure of 3.0 in June, according to a compilation from Bloomberg.
Denmark is also reporting new inflation figures. There, the inflation rate was 1.8 percent on an annual basis. In May, it was 2.2 percent.
Swedish inflation figures for June will be presented on Friday.
