After 18 years, Ruud van Nistelrooy returns to Manchester United. The Dutchman, who scored 95 goals in 150 Premier League matches, has signed as an assistant coach to Erik ten Hag for the next two years.
The 48-year-old will be accompanied as an assistant coach by Rene Hake.
"It's a special pleasure to welcome Ruud back to the club where he had such great success as a player", says sports director Dan Ashworth on the club's website.
Van Nistelrooy has held several different coaching roles in PSV Eindhoven between 2018 and 2023.
