Hammarby had a brief lead over Malmö and Djurgården for a while, and seemed to be heading for another three-pointer. An early goal by Shaquille Pinas and two by super talent Bazoumana Touré meant that "Bajen" went into halftime with a 3-1 lead.
But then Brommapojkarna's goal-scorer Nikola Vasic, as he often does, came to life.
The 32-year-old first scored a reduction, and with a quarter of an hour left to play, he sprinted past the home team's defense and equalized.
And it wasn't the striker's first two goals of the season. In fact, after Monday's success, he lies in second place in the scoring league with eleven goals. Only one behind leading Isaac Kiese Thelin.
I miss when it's an open goal, that's what I'm good at. But then they sit there, weirdly, haha, he says to Max and continues:
18 matches, eleven goals. It feels great. We're in a stable position in the table, so it feels great.
The cross means that Hammarby, instead of catching up in the top struggle, falls behind series-leading Malmö, who are now nine points ahead. Djurgården in second place is three points ahead, with one less match played.
