The industrial concern Alfa Laval reports a profit before tax of almost 2.4 billion kronor for the second quarter of the year. This can be compared to the profit of 2 billion kronor for the corresponding period last year.
Analysts had on average expected a profit of 2.6 billion kronor, according to Bloomberg's compilation.
The turnover increased by 11 percent to 17.5 billion kronor, while the order intake rose by 4 percent to almost 19 billion kronor.
