23:34 Drunk driving, Östersund
Police stop and inspect a person's car on E14 Östersund. The driver, a man, blows positively in the breathalyzer and is taken for further testing. A report of gross drunk driving is filed. The man blows 0.92 milligrams of alcohol per liter of exhaled air.

23:24 Injury from traffic accident, Krokom
Police are contacted regarding a car that allegedly drove straight through a roundabout and then into a ditch. A report is filed regarding the injury from the traffic accident site. A person on the scene is taken into custody for drunk driving. 

23:56 Mountain rescue, Berg
Police are contacted regarding two people who have become lost on their way to Helags mountain station, Berg municipality. The people had been out all day, lacked food, and were tired and frozen. The police officer on duty makes a decision to initiate a rescue service with the support of the LSO, the Act on Protection against Accidents. Mountain rescuers are alerted. Shortly after 6:00 am the next morning, the rescue operation is concluded as the stranded individuals are picked up by mountain rescuers and a civilian helicopter. 

Summary of police work in connection with the Dundermarknaden, Strömsund, Thursday:

The evening and night are deemed to have been calm despite the high level of intoxication among the visitors. The atmosphere has been positive and most visitors have had a good mood. Two people have been taken into custody for drunk driving. 
Reports have been filed regarding, among other things, drunk driving and drug offenses.
Police have taken a lot of alcohol in custody from people under the age of 18. Police want to remind people not to provide alcohol to individuals who do not have the age requirement.
