In Välsviken, a 25-year-old man was taken into custody by a police patrol after disturbing the public order.

The man had, in a short time, been the subject of intervention by security guards in a food store, and shortly thereafter also disturbed the public order in another store in the area. The police patrol found no other solution than to take the man into custody according to the Police Act's 13§, as the man disturbed the public order and people reacted to the man's behavior.

The custody will be continuously reviewed by the station commander at the police station and will continue until the man has calmed down and composed himself. What triggered the man's behavior is unknown.
