Alarms are coming in that a building is on fire in central Uppsala. Initially, it is burning strongly in parts of the building, and the police are assisting the rescue service by, among other things, setting up cordons so that the rescue service can work efficiently on the scene.

The fire is now extinguished, and the police have spoken to several witnesses.

At present, there are no reports of anyone having been physically injured in connection with the fire. The cause of the fire is currently unknown.
