Alarms are coming in that a building is on fire in central Edsbyn in Ovanåkers municipality. On the scene, the police are assisting the rescue service, which is leading the firefighting efforts.

No one is believed to have been physically injured in connection with the fire. When the rescue service has completed its work, the police will cordon off the building for a technical investigation.

The initial classification of the crime is gross arson and property damage by fire.
