Under the night, fires have broken out at different locations in the Haga district of Umeå.

Fire services and police have worked on the fire-related incidents during the night. There are no known personal injuries related to the fires.

Between 15 and 20 vehicles have burned, with some parked in a carport, and several others are believed to have been heat-affected. At one of the fire sites, a building was affected, windows were shattered, and smoke spread to the residential building. The building was evacuated.

Police are working to investigate the fires and the initial categorizations are suspected arson, gross arson, and murder by fire. The motive for the categorization as murder by fire is the value of the goods. There is no known suspect at present.
