A selection of the night's police activity.

The police have conducted a number of checks on people and vehicles between 00-07 without resulting in any suspicion of crime.

Here follows a selection of the night's events:

00:37 Drug offense, Kiruna
Police are controlling a man in central Kiruna. Suspected drugs are found in his possession. An investigation and a report on minor drug offense, possession, will be prepared. The case will be handled with the expedited prosecution procedure.

02:06 Traffic offense, Haparanda
Finnish police contact Swedish police after following a car across the border to the Swedish side, where the car was stopped. Three Finnish teenagers under 18 are being driven by the car and are taken to the police station in Haparanda by Swedish police. The car is seized. One of the teenagers, the driver, is suspected of unauthorized driving. A report will be prepared. The teenagers' guardians are contacted and pick up the teenagers. The car is released to one of the guardians.

02:22 Assault, Luleå
Police take up a report of an assault that is alleged to have occurred at a parking lot near a grocery store on Hertsön at 02:00. A man is the victim. There are no reports of emergency medical care being needed. There is no suspect remaining at the scene. Witnesses are identified and a report will be prepared.

02:24 Driving under the influence of drugs, Älvsbyn
Police stop and control a car along regional road 374 in the area of Vidsel and suspicion arises that the driver is under the influence of drugs. A blood test is performed and the result will show if a crime has been committed. A report will be prepared on suspected driving under the influence and minor drug offense, personal use.

A wildlife accident has been reported to the police during the night and morning. There are no reports of personal injuries.
