Two motorists are involved in an accident after trying to swerve to avoid an elk on the road.

A vehicle is completely demolished. One person is reported to have been thrown from the car in the collision. All involved are, however, awake and able to speak, the extent of the injuries is unclear. The elk died in connection with the collision.

Police, rescue services, and ambulance are on their way to the accident site.

Update 20:34: The person who was thrown from the vehicle complains of neck pain but has managed relatively well under the circumstances. There is a total stop in traffic in the direction of Karlskoga, but it will be possible to redirect via an exit road.

Update 20:43: It involves three motorists who have been involved in the accident.
