The fake police officers allegedly tried to persuade the victim to let them in, under the pretext that they needed to check their identification. The men themselves did not want to identify themselves. The victim then called for help, whereupon the three men left the scene in a car. A patrol car heard the alarm and subsequently filed a report on attempted theft and pretended official status, unknown perpetrators.
