Night to Sunday police district Värmland

22.40 Arvika. Traffic offense. A man in his twenties has had his driver's license taken away after being reported for speeding in Arvika. The man denies the offense.

23.22 Karlstad. Assault. A man in his thirties was assaulted in central Karlstad. Not seriously injured, the perpetrator is not identified but there are witnesses.

00.06 Karlstad. Assault. A woman in her thirties was subjected to illumination with a green laser while she was in her apartment. The illumination came from a neighboring building. On the address, a police patrol found a person under fifteen years old who is now suspected of attempted assault. The patrol also established a so-called alarm report, SOL14.

00.24 Karlstad. Impersonating a public official, public intoxication. A man in his twenties was arrested by security guards at a bar in central Karlstad. The man is suspected of impersonating a public official by claiming to be a police officer/security guard. When the man was confronted by security guards, he resisted violently and spat at security guards in the face. The man was taken into custody by police for public intoxication.

01.28 Sunne. Assault. A woman in her forties is suspected of multiple cases of assault and vandalism. Two people in their twenties and forties have been subjected to assault by the woman.

02.08 Karlstad. Disturbing the peace. Three young men under eighteen are suspected of disturbing the peace. The young men are suspected of disturbing a family in a town north of Karlstad by harassing the family with a signal horn, etc.

02.18 Säffle. Traffic accident. A woman in her thirties is suspected of causing bodily harm after hitting a man in his eighteenth year with an electric scooter. The man was taken to the hospital.

Chaotic night in Värmland with public intoxication and suicide cases. Seven people have been taken into custody or otherwise handled for public intoxication, seven assault cases have been reported, two wild animal accidents, and four people have been refused or removed. An investigation into a serious violent crime is ongoing in Säffle where an area is cordoned off. A total of forty vehicle and person checks have been carried out.
