A police patrol found a woman in her early twenties in central Säffle shortly after 3 am on Sunday morning. The police have launched an investigation into a serious violent crime, namely rape, based on this. The woman has been taken to the hospital. During the morning, technical personnel have carried out a series of investigative measures, including a criminal search dog and a drone, in a cordoned-off area in the central part of the community. The investigation continues with interviews and witness statements. The cordon around the scene is now lifted. We cannot provide any information on her health status.
