Police have received several cases of fraud targeting elderly women in Sandviken and Gävle over the weekend. The victims are women in their 90s.

The perpetrator is said to have called the women and told them that their credit cards had been used to buy electronics at an electronics chain. When the women said it wasn't true, the person on the phone said that the police would be sent to their homes to file a report.

A person claiming to be a police officer shows up at the women's homes and steals personal belongings and credit cards, which the perpetrator then uses to make purchases.

A report is filed regarding serious theft and fraud.
