Migrants missing – forced to swim ashore
Around 70 people are missing since human smugglers forced migrants to leave the boats they were traveling in and swim to shore. .
Many dead in boat accident
At least 45 people have been confirmed dead since two migrant boats sank off the coast of Djibouti, according to the UN's migration agency IOM. The boats left Yemen with 310 people on board.

The bodies of Elva people have been found off the coast of Libya, according to Doctors Without Borders (MSF) on X. The deceased are believed to be migrants, but it is unclear how they ended up in the water.
