Train drivers in the UK have almost unanimously accepted a new collective agreement that provides a salary increase of over 14 percent, reports the Financial Times. This means that one of the most protracted labor disputes in the British rail industry has been resolved.

According to the trade union Aslef, 97 percent of members have accepted the proposal from the British state for a partially retroactive salary increase of 14.25 percent for the years 2022-2025.

The agreement comes after British doctors also accepted a new agreement on Monday, following the most protracted conflict in the sector of all time.
