Two women, 72 and 56 years old, are reported to have been killed when a Russian drone hit a car in the Kherson region. A third person was killed in an attack on the port city of Odessa, in which eight people are said to have been injured. Two civilian ships are also reported to have been damaged in the attack on Odessa.

In southeastern Ukraine, Russia is said to have recaptured the village of Levadne, reports the news agency AP. Levadne in the Zaporizhzhia region was captured by Russia early in the full-scale war, but was later recaptured by Ukraine last summer.

In the northeastern part of the country, large-scale evacuations are underway from the Sumy region, from which 37,000 people have been evacuated so far. Among them are over 6,400 children, according to the military administration in the area.

Further evacuations are planned, reports Kyiv Independent. In total, the authorities plan to evacuate 45,000 people from the area, since Russian rocket attacks in the area have increased significantly in recent times.

Sumy is located on the Russian border, opposite the Russian city of Kursk, where Ukrainian forces have made a counter-invasion and are holding ground.
