Sean Eriksson, photographer and friend of Tim Bergling, is the one who provides the information, via a video on Instagram.

Many of the things are not Tim's. We were five people living together for several years and people left their things all over the house, since people came and went. It was not just Tim who lived there. We all lived there back and forth, says Sean Eriksson, who lived together with "Avicii" in Los Angeles.

The auction at Stockholms auktionsverk was held on Tuesday and 267 items, all donated by Tim Bergling's family to benefit the Tim Bergling foundation, went under the hammer. Among other things, a guitar for 240,000 kronor, a cap for 50,000 and a pair of sneakers for 42,000, according to Dagens Nyheter. Sean Eriksson claims that the auction company did not fact-check the items.

Mia Eriksson, marketing manager at Stockholms auktionsverk, has seen Sean Eriksson's video. She does not want to comment on his statements.

From our perspective, we feel confident about the extensive work that has been done to ensure that all items included in the charity auction are sold with correct provenance (origin, ed. note), she says to Dagens Nyheter.

Tim Bergling died in 2018 after suffering from mental health issues and was 28 years old.
