It is unclear whether the whole thing has been reported to the police.
Brooks rejects the allegations as completely unfounded. Last month, he himself submitted an application in Mississippi to preempt what has now been submitted in California. In it, where both Brooks and the woman are anonymous, the one assumed to be Brooks claims that he heard lies from the woman and demands for millions to be paid to her in order to refrain from proceeding with a lawsuit.
The woman claims that Brooks sexually harassed her on multiple occasions. She began working for him in 2017.
The woman's lawyers say, in a statement to AFP, that sexual offenders are not only found in business, in Hollywood, in the rap or rock scene, but also in country music.
"We are convinced that Brooks will be held accountable for his actions", they write.
AP has asked the lawyers via email if a police report has been filed, but has not received a response.
