After Wednesday evening's evacuation of the Royal Dramatic Theatre in Stockholm, the theatre is now open again for Thursday's performances.
It was during the play "King Lear" that a sprinkler system broke down. The fire alarm went off, and water sprayed out into the auditorium, and the fire protection system was shut down. The audience had to leave the auditorium, and the play was interrupted.
According to the Royal Dramatic Theatre's press service, all faults have now been rectified, and the theatre is performing "King Lear" as usual this evening. The audience members who were supposed to see the performance on Wednesday are being offered to see it at another time or to get their money back.
The play "Heritage", which is divided into two parts, must, however, be re-performed. The first part will be played again on Thursday evening, and part two will be moved to November 9.
