Government proposal on farm sales receives criticism from several industry organizations.

The government wants to allow farms and microbreweries producing liquor to sell directly on site. However, the proposal also involves restrictions on how much can be produced to be sold. Several industry organizations believe this is wrong.

The proposal applies to companies producing up to 75,000 liters of spirits, 400,000 liters of fermented drinks with up to 10% alcohol, such as beer and cider, or 200,000 liters of fermented drinks with over 10% alcohol, such as wine.

Sveriges Bryggerier, which primarily has members producing beer and cider, thinks the 400,000-liter limit is set too low.

The industry organization Sveriges producenter av alkoholdrycker is also critical of the proposal. They believe that many spirit producers are excluded.

Both industry organizations believe that the proposal will lead to confusion among visitors.
