The party's voters made up their minds last of all – in the third EU election in a row, according to SVT's election survey.

Pace in Europe is becoming an increasingly important issue for voters.

Far from all voters know what they should vote for in good time before the election, and the Centre Party convinced the most voters at the last minute.

58 per cent of the party's voters decided who to vote for in the last week before the election, according to SVT's election survey Valu. It is the third EU election in a row that the Centre Party has topped the list.

For the Liberals and Christian Democrats, the figures were 56 and 50 per cent respectively – while the Moderates and Greens landed on 43 per cent each.

36 per cent of the Social Democrats' voters and 33 per cent of the Left Party's voters decided who to vote for in the last week. The Sweden Democrats appear to have made a weaker final push and convinced 23 per cent of their voters to vote for the party in the last week.

As for which issues are most important, one dominates: peace.

67 per cent of Swedish voters said that the question of peace in Europe had very great importance for the choice of party, shows SVT's Valu.

The question also topped the list in the survey before the 2019 EU election, when 58 per cent said it was very important, but has increased further ahead of this year's election.

The next most important issues were democracy (60 per cent) and the climate (53 per cent). At the bottom of the voters' top ten list is the economy. Only 36 per cent of those who responded to the survey said that the economy had very great importance for their choice of party.
