Two men from Gästrikland are sentenced to pay 113 million kronor in damages for providing at least 5,000 customers with illegal TV, reports GD.

The men, who are 45 and 55 years old, have been running an illegal business for several years, sending out TV channels in the form of so-called IPTV for payment.

The companies Discovery, Viaplay, and Cmore are estimated to have lost revenue worth over 100 million kronor as a result of the crimes, and will now share the damages.

The men were previously sentenced to pay 195 million kronor, but after an appeal to the Patent and Market Court, the amount has now been reduced. The men were also sentenced to two and a half years in prison for gross copyright infringement and breach of copyright law, which is now confirmed.

During house searches at the men's homes, the police have, among other things, seized gold and whiskey worth millions.
