Ten heart patients have had their operations postponed at Karolinska University Hospital in Huddinge due to rainwater that has started leaking through the roof in an operating room. This is reported by P4 Stockholm.
The leak is said to have occurred a couple of weeks ago in connection with the renovation of the roof above the operating room.
In addition to postponed operations, the roof leak is said to have caused expensive equipment to be damaged and the staff has had to cover equipment in stages.
The property manager Locum writes to P4 Stockholm that the contractor is working intensively to rectify the leaks in order to minimize further impact on operations.
